From now until the end of 2020, abb Robotics and Discrete Automation Division will open key software services to customers free of charge.
In the current situation of social distancing and remote working, digital solutions allow customers and partners to remotely manage production lines and keep robotic
systems running at peak performance while reducing manual intervention. Digital tools also help clients prepare for projects so they can be implemented as soon as everyone returns to work.

ABB Ability Connected Services – Condition Monitoring and Diagnostics
ABB”s connected service platform can monitor the status and performance of a single or all installed robots, helping customers remotely monitor robot systems and ensure they
are running at good performance. ABB Ability Connected Services provide actionable information to help service experts address issues that can lead to costly unplanned downtime before they occur.

RobotStudio
RobotStudio is ABB”s simulation and offline programming software that can completely simulate a physical asset or system (digital twin), allowing you to remotely view the production line.
The RobotStudio offline programming tool enables users to create, simulate and test entire robotic systems in a virtual 3D environment without having to visit the site or interrupt the actual
production line. Customers can now use all features of RobotStudio for free, including all Powerpack plug-ins and CAD converters, digital twins, and virtual reality conferencing.
